Rachna Singh was elected as the BC New Democrat MLA for Surrey-Green Timbers in May 2017 and re-elected in October 2020. She is also a member of the Planning and Priorities Committee, the Appointment Orders Committee, the Cabinet Committee on Social Initiatives, and the Government Caucus Committee on Social Initiatives.

She was previously the Convener of the Special Committee to Appoint a Police Complaint Commissioner as well as the Special Committee to Appoint a Conflict of Interest Commissioner.
