The lush greens of Westfield Country Club were more than just a backdrop for golf on a recent summer day in Surrey. This was no ordinary tournament. At its heart was a message about giving back and creating opportunities for young people. The highlight for many was the chance to learn directly from Angela Arora, one of Canada’s most exciting rising golf stars, who led exclusive classes and inspired the next generation with her skill and her story.

Her mentorship on the greens showed young players how discipline and heart can open doors to extraordinary possibilities.

The success of the Golf Classic was made possible by a remarkable circle of partners. Scotiabank served as the Title Sponsor, with Westfield Country Club, Save-On-Foods, Home Ease Mortgages, Fade Range, and Benson Awardssupporting the event. Golf Canada joined as a Community Partner, while South Asian Entertainment Magazineproudly captured the day as the official Media Partner.

Beyond the trophies and scorecards, the day stood as a reminder of what can be achieved when sport is used as a tool for education, mentorship, and unity. Kids Play Foundation continues to build programs that put youth first, and this event was another testament to that mission.

At its core, the Golf Classic was about more than golf—it was about community, opportunity, and the joy of coming together for something greater than the game itself.
