\n\n\n\nAman was elected MLA for Richmond-Queensborough in 2020. He is the first turban-wearing Sikh to be elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in B.C. As a prominent civil and human rights lawyer, Aman has appeared at the BC Provincial and Supreme Courts and the BC Court of Appeal. He is also a socially conscious small business owner and has held roles as a director of the Prof Mohan Singh Memorial Foundation, the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers, the Friends of the Sikh Cadets Society, the People's Legal Education Society, and as a Governor of Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

\n\n\n\nOne of Aman's missions is to bring more attention to the disease of addiction and the possibility of recovery. Aman is a recovered alcoholic who has been sober for over a decade and plays an active role in the recovery community. He has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people and families who are dealing with addiction and mental illness. Aman believes that communities that cultivate care and respect for all people are key to recovery. Aman is dedicated to supporting families, and that's why he also delivered his promise on a new dedicated school bus service for New Westminster Secondary students living in Queensborough.
