Jinny Sins - MLA for Surrey - Panorama

"I often think about how blessed I am to live in this incredibly beautiful province, rich in history and cultural diversity. B.C. Day is a day for British Columbians to take pride in our province and to reflect on our achievements. I am proud of the work our government has accomplished from childcare to housing, education to infrastructure, and so much more. We have strived to build a community for all – one based on kindness and unity, not division and misinformation.

This B.C. Day, I hope that everyone finds time to celebrate this magnificent province we are fortunate to call home."

I have been incredibly privileged to represent my community in various capacities over the years—whether as a teacher, president of the BC Teacher's Federation, an MP, or an MLA. From advocating for children with special needs, improving class sizes, and supporting the teaching profession to striving for equality and influencing policy changes, my goal has always been to help create a just and inclusive world where our children can thrive and pursue their dreams. Perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of my job has been the people. I've been fortunate to meet so many amazing individuals throughout my years of service. There's no greater joy than helping constituents when they come to the office, whether it's advocating for them or helping them navigate available resources.
