\n\n\n\nJagrup Brar was first elected as an MLA for Surrey in 2004, serving until 2013, and was re-elected as the MLA for Surrey-Fleetwood in 2017 and 2020. He currently serves as the MLA for Surrey-Fleetwood. Jagrup has also served as the Official Opposition critic for Small Business, Healthy Living and Sport, Employment and Income Assistance, and Solicitor General and Public Safety.
\n\n\n\nJagrup brings over two decades of experience in the public and non-profit sectors. As the Executive Director of the Surrey Self Employment and Entrepreneur Development Society (SEEDS), Jagrup guided new entrepreneurs in developing and launching successful small businesses. He has been an active member of the Surrey community for many years, volunteering with various organizations to provide services for youth, seniors, the homeless, and new Canadians. A dedicated advocate for the most vulnerable, Jagrup undertook the Welfare Challenge to personally experience the struggles of those living in poverty in British Columbia. Jagrup resides in Surrey with his wife Rajwant and their two children, Noor and Fateh.

- Cutting ICBC rates by an average of $500 per vehicle. \n\n\n\n
- Providing BC Hydro credits and eliminating MSP premiums. \n\n\n\n
- Expanding affordable housing and converting short-term rentals into long-term homes. \n\n\n\n
- Constructing the new SkyTrain extension in Surrey, improving transit systems, and building the new Pattullo Bridge and Massey Tunnel replacement. \n\n\n\n
