A mission rooted in empowerment

Dream Buds Foundation supports individuals who are unable to realize their potential due to lack of resources, guidance or opportunities. The organization focuses on helping children, youth and adults from impoverished backgrounds by providing access to education, creative development, vocational skills, sports and environmental awareness. Over the years, the foundation has fulfilled dreams related to learning, arts, stitching, sports and other fields that uplift lives and restore dignity.

A significant part of its work centers on girls and women, with initiatives that include mental health awareness workshops and development programs designed to build confidence and independence. Every milestone has been documented through photographs and videos shared across the foundation’s website and social media platforms.

The organization remains committed to serving people of all ages and genders without discrimination based on class, caste, creed or religion. Its tagline, Everyone can dream, stands as a reminder that every person, no matter where they come from, holds the right to aspire and the right to be supported in pursuing those aspirations.

About the founder: Diljott

\n\n\n\n

Diljott is widely recognized for her work in Indian cinema, having featured in several films and songs as a lead actress. Her recent release on an OTT platform was featured in GQ India, further establishing her as a rising creative voice.

\n\n\n\n

Her academic achievements are equally impressive. She is a two time University Gold Medalist from Panjab University, Chandigarh, completing her Graduation in Psychology Honors and her Masters in Human Rights at the top of her class. She has studied Public Policy at Harvard University and International Development at the University of British Columbia. Diljott’s passion for social service began early, from leading the National Service Scheme in school and university to volunteering for numerous community initiatives. Her advanced studies and field work strengthened her resolve to create a platform that could uplift those who felt forced to abandon their dreams due to poverty or lack of opportunity.

\n\n\n\n

Her efforts have earned her government recognition, including an honor as a Young Achiever by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit. In June 2025, she received an appreciation letter from Governor Gulab Chand Kataria for her commitment to social work and for inspiring the youth. She also joined the Governor in a walk against drug abuse in May 2025.

Reflecting on her journey, Diljott shares, “As an actor and a public figure, I feel a deep responsibility to give back to society. Over the years, while traveling for shoots and meeting people from different walks of life, I came across many talented individuals who believed in their dreams but felt helpless because they lacked resources and support. Many told me they were never meant to dream. Their words stayed with me, and I felt compelled to create an organization that could give hope to millions like them. Dream Buds Foundation is that promise. Every smile we see and every blessing we receive reminds us that every life is precious and every dream deserves a chance.”
