\n\nThe 12th annual Canadian Mortgage Awards lit up Toronto’s Liberty Grand with a grand celebration of the mortgage industry’s brightest stars. Friday night saw a gathering of the industry’s most accomplished professionals, all recognized for their exceptional contributions.\n

Dominion Lending Centres (DLC): National Broker Network of the Year

\nDominion Lending Centres stole the show, clinching the prestigious National Broker Network of the Year Award.\n\n“It’s awesome, we had a great night,” said Gary Mauris, DLC’s President and CEO. “Great awards, always put on exceptionally well. It’s nice to see everybody and to take home the hardware too.”\n

CanWise Financial: Mortgage Brokerage of the Year (25+ Employees)

\nCanWise Financial, nominated in four categories, secured the coveted Mortgage Brokerage of the Year (25+ Employees) award.\n\n“This is our second [award win] in two years, so we’re super pumped,” said James Laird, President and Broker of Record. “The whole industry comes together—brokers, lenders, service providers—and we all get to celebrate the year that was.”\n

Anne Brill: Mortgage Broker of the Year (25+ Employees)

\nAnne Brill of Centum Metrocapp Wealth Solutions earned the Mortgage Broker of the Year (25+ Employees) award.\n\n“I’m in shock,” Brill shared. “I’m very proud. It’s nice to be able to recognize the broker world and the mortgage industry, and I’m so proud of everyone I work beside.”\n

Collin Bruce: Best Use of Mobile Technology

\nCollin Bruce took home the first award of the evening for Best Use of Mobile Technology.\n\n“I’m surprised but humbled,” said Bruce. “The CMAs are the biggest awards in this industry—this is huge.”\n

Akash Sharma: Alternative Broker Specialist of the Year (Business for Self)

\nIn his debut year as a mortgage broker, Akash Sharma of Able & Remarkable Mortgages was named Alternative Broker Specialist of the Year (Business for Self).\n\n“My first year at a brokerage as a broker, and after leaving a major bank, TD, it feels awesome,” said Sharma. “Coming down from B.C. to Toronto to get the award is really awesome. Hopefully, this is an inspiration to all young people.”\n

A Night to Remember

\nThe Canadian Mortgage Awards offered a perfect opportunity for professionals to celebrate, network, and acknowledge their achievements in a highly competitive industry. From coast to coast, attendees came together over cocktails, awards, and camaraderie.\n\nThe night exemplified the best in the mortgage industry and set the stage for even greater accomplishments in the years to come.\n\n
