WINGS Hosts 3rd Annual Veteran Appreciation Lunch Free Lunch for BC Veterans from November 11-15

\nEach year on November 11th, Canadians remember those who served this country. To mark this important day, the twelve WINGS Restaurants & Pubs locations across BC are once again offering one complimentary item off its feature lunch menu to Canadian Forces veterans and current military members from November 11-15 from 11am-2pm.\n\nThis is the third year WINGS is hosting a Veteran Appreciation Lunch across BC, which has now turned into an annual event for the company.\n\nThe Marketing Team at GoldWings Entertainment Ltd., the parent company for WINGS Restaurants & Pubs, wanted to do something to give back to the local veteran community, “it’s the least we can do to show our appreciation and thank some of the most deserving individuals in our local communities,” said Jeff Perham, Director of Marketing & Business Development for restaurant chain.\n\n“When we first suggested the idea to our restaurant operators, there was no hesitation and they absolutely loved the idea. Over the past few years, we have this is a very busy time for most Veterans, especially on November 11, which is why we decided to extend the program to run from November 11-15, in hopes more Veterans can attend”, he says.\n\nRichard Hourie - Veteran - Vice President of the B.C. Veterans Commemorative Association, also loved the idea, “this is a great initiative to support those who served, and are still serving, our great country.”\n\nHourie expressed thanks to WINGS on behalf of all BC veterans and hopes to see more local businesses get involved with the veteran community “it’s wonderful to see businesses support those who made Canada the strong, proud, and free country it is today”, he said.\n\nVeterans are encouraged to visit WINGS for their complimentary lunch item with friends and family, however only Veterans will be offered the meal at no price.
