A MOTHER IS THE BANK WHERE WE DEPOSIT ALL OUR HURTS AND WORRIES AND GET AN ABUNDANCE OF LOVE IN RETURN.

She loves to help the community and whatever she does, she does it with all her heart. She volunteers at the Surrey Food Bank along with her two children who love to participate whenever they can get some time away from school. She encourages her family, friends, students, and neighbors to volunteer at the Surrey Food Bank and other organizations. It was back in 1995 that she first volunteered with the Chart Room at Kaiser Hospital and was hired as a File Clerk. As she moved to B.C. in 2005, she volunteered at the Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS) and motivated parents to take computer courses to raise their awareness. For nearly a decade now, she has been filing taxes yearly for students and low-income earners with the CRA Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) at different libraries and DIVERSEcity. Every year, the Canada Revenue Agency sends her a certificate and a letter to appreciate her for helping the community. Her ultimate goal is to help and heal the world and become an energy healer. She believes that “we are not here only to eat, sleep and leave the world. God sent us on the earth for a purpose and that is to become great human beings and help needy people.”

Rewarding part of being a mom

\n\n\n\n

There are so many rewarding parts of being a mom in my life and it is hard for me to pick one. However, there was a moment when I had shingles in my eye, and it was contagious. I told both of my sons that they could not come to my room, and they started crying and said nothing will happen to us, but we cannot leave you alone in the room. They brought chairs, kept them outside the door, sat there and took great care of me whenever I needed any help. I feel so blessed to have two kind, helpful, caring, and respectful children.

Feeling of being a miracle mom

\n\n\n\n

Whenever children from the neighborhood come to play with my kids and if anyone gets hurt, they don’t go to their mothers instead they all run and knock on my door and tell me that someone is hurt. I run outside to see them, pick them up from the ground, give them a big hug, clean them, and I bandage the wounds. Most of the time they say, “Auntie, you have magic in your hands” and that is when I feel like a miracle mom.

Striking balance in life

\n\n\n\n

I am a miracle mom because whatever I cook at home, that’s what we all eat. I plan and make a schedule ahead of time and finish all the chores. During the time of Covid, I taught my children how to cook simple food and do the dishes. So now, I assign chores to all of us, and we all work as a team and help each other to keep a balance. I volunteer when my kids are at school, and I work part-time on the weekends when my husband is home. Sometimes I work from home. I also strongly believe that listening to positive, motivational, and spiritual affirmations along with meditating daily has played the biggest role in my life and helped me get through so many ups and downs.

Spotlight on the miracle moms

\n\n\n\n

I believe in God and his powers. I call him Baba, as soon as I wake up in the morning, I say Baba, thank you for being with us, helping us, protecting us, and guiding us all the time to fulfill our soul’s mission, path and purpose. I cook food, clean the house, wash the dishes, do laundry, and pay bills on time. I drop off my kids at school and pick them up. I love gardening and, in the summer, I spend at least two hours every day growing fresh vegetables for my family, friends and neighbors. I renovated my home by changing old doors, trims, baseboards, and floors with my 14-year-old son’s help. When my elder son helped me to renovate, my younger son made food for us. I pressure wash my home every year. There is nothing impossible for me because possible is hidden in impossible. I believe if I can do all these things then every mom can do it because we are all ‘Powerful and Miracle Moms’.
