Balraj Mann receives Construction’s Most Influential People Award 2024

Balraj Mann’s prowess as a businessperson is highly impressive. Starting as a farm laborer who moved to B.C. from India, he went on to become the founder and chairman of BM Group of Companies.

He has spent decades building BM Group into a diverse portfolio of structural restoration, waterproofing, construction management, material supply, and real estate related businesses. However, beyond the boardroom, Mann, his wife and family have shown immense passion for the communities they live and work in. Mann is a dedicated philanthropist who is heavily involved in hospitals and universities, earning him the H.D. Stafford Good Citizen of the Year award in 2023.

Construction’s Most Influential People is an annual awards program recognizing individuals across all sectors who significantly impact Canadian construction. The award aims to honor the contribution of trailblazing company CEOs, visionary entrepreneurs, progressive advocates, wildly successful content creators, passionate educators, brilliant organizers, sharp legal minds and more. Collectively they help shape how builders build and how the public at large thinks about construction. Their impact is incalculable but it touches on millions of Canadians and includes tens of billions of dollars worth of construction work.
